Get Up & Travel was created from a lifelong love of culture, connection, and curiosity about the world.

After spending much of my life living internationally - primarily throughout Asia and especially in Thailand - travel slowly became less about checking destinations off a list and more about learning how people live, eat, gather, celebrate, and create meaning in everyday life.

Over the years, I’ve coordinated international moves, complex flight schedules, visas, international schools, and the constant balancing act of building home in unfamiliar places. Somewhere along the way, airports became familiar, navigating cultures became second nature, and travel transformed into something much deeper than vacations alone.

Today, I’m based in San Francisco with my daughter, always dreaming about the next destination, hidden street, quiet café, design-forward hotel, local market, or meal shared around someone’s table.

This space was built to share a more grounded and meaningful approach to travel.

Not just the highlights.

Not just the “must-see” landmarks.

But the feeling of a place.

The best experiences I’ve had while traveling have rarely come from following the most popular route. They’ve come from slowing down, wandering a little further, staying curious, and embracing both contrast and balance - whether that means enjoying a home-cooked meal in a small local neighborhood one night and sipping a cocktail at a rooftop bar overlooking a city skyline the next.

Through Get Up & Travel, I hope to inspire travel that feels immersive, thoughtful, and personal - rooted in culture, architecture, food, art, sustainability, movement, and connection.
